New Seabourn Credit Card Offer – Earn 50,000 Points!

For those Frequent Floaters who enjoy small-ship luxury and adventure cruising, American Express rolled out a targeted deal for Seabourn Cruises: earn an additional 5 American Express® Membership Rewards® points per eligible dollar spent, up to 50,000 points (capped at $10,000 in spend).(Terms apply to American Express benefits and offers. Enrollment may be required for select American Express benefits and offers. Visit americanexpress.com to learn more.)

We value American Express® Membership Rewards® points at about 1.5 cents each (and that’s relatively conservative). So, the bonus points promotion is worth up to $750 (in our opinion).

I received the offer on my American Express® Gold Card, but I imagine this is also offered on other American Express cards.  For those with multiple cards in your household targeted by this offer, you may want to split payments on these pricey cruises to maximize your points. The offer is good through May 31, 2024, meaning your reservation must be processed and card charged by this date.  Points will be awarded based on the charge by the date, not the total cost of the future cruise.

Seabourn Amex Offer Exclusions

The offer specifically excludes the following unless booked at the time of reservation:

  • onboard spend
  • gift and services
  • parking fees at ports
  • full ship charters
  • special events
  • Seabourn Global Visa support
  • any standalone purchases paid for separately from initial reservation

The Fine Print

Note: We last saw this deal in August-September 2023 with the similar terms; however, the exclusions are a bit different this time around so please check these carefully.

Seabourn is also currently running a promotion – A SALE BEYOND for some of their expedition cruises to Antarctica.  Sailing to Antarctica is definitely on our bucket list!  Check out a few of these amazing cruises:

As always, it pays to keep an eye out for these offers from your favorite cruise lines or maybe as an incentive to try another line you haven’t sailed before.  Please let us know if you’re able to take advantage of this new Seabourn credit card offer – earn 50,000 points!

  1. I am so annoyed because I paid the remaining balance of my cruise (>$10,000) the day before this offer was published!!!! 🙁

    • @Sam – Ouch! Sorry but a valuable lesson learned to always check for new offers before we pay for a cruise (or pay off).

However, your charge may still be in pending and if you register right away it may trigger the bonus anyway!
