As you read this, I am just back from a simply amazing Norwegian Cruise. I will have a full post about how I got to the port, the hotel before the sailing as well as the ship, and the flights back soon (back on Delta this time, BTW). But that is later – now the recap of this busy week’s posts:

  • So, raise your hand if you have ever had a butler. I have had the privilege of getting to know a number of them and they have all (save one) been simply amazing. But just what can you ask your butler to do for you since most of us don’t have one in our normal everyday lives? Take a peek.
  • A cruise ship really is a special place. One of the reasons we love them so much is just for that reason — but there are things you really should do or not do on a ship. We show you the list.
  • ThatGuy, who has more nights onboard than I ever will in my lifetime, has some things you really should consider before you step onboard. His wisdom is earned and we do well to pay attention when he speaks.
  • I have been to a number of all-inclusive resorts. For some of them, the food is simply to die for and on par 100% with ships. Others, well, really not so much. Same thing when it comes to service and more. Let’s compare what is better: ship life or land life?
  • Chris this week had two stunner posts when it comes to cruise line credit cards. The first one was about the current 5% back offers we must register for. The next one we all must review. Why? Because cruise line credit cards are just SO BAD! No, really, check it out.

I can not tell you how happy I am having been back on a ship at last. I have three more sailings lined up — and Alaska is the next great adventure. How about you? – Rene
