I am just back from 14 days crossing the Atlantic on the Carnival Glory after it had spent weeks in dry dock in Cádiz, Spain. I can not wait to share everything about the trip as well as well as the highs and lows of the vacation. But first the week that was:

I find it so interesting that most folks feel the laws of the land they live in apply no matter where they go in the world. Yes I think this mostly applies to Americans, perhaps due to how big it is and how far you can travel and still be in the USA, but folks from other lands express similar thinking. Just what are your “rights” at sea on a cruise ship? Take a look.

For me a cruise vacation is all about fun and relaxation and a big part of that is being comfortable both onboard and at ports. What are the best cruise clothes you can choose? See what you think about our list.

Our author Michael, who had a simply amazing cruise that visited the Galapagos, breaks down just who should take a cruise to said island (and more). Impressive.

I had another nearly 100,000 Chase UR points hit my account while I was at sea crossing the Atlantic (due to a new INK card). Now both the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Chase Sapphire Reserve® cards have big bonus offers you should consider.

Lastly, and this always seems to happen when I am gone, we had some real tech issues with the blog. Both the 1x a day news letter as well as some social media “auto loads” did not work (again, like most of the time I was gone). Take a look at what you maybe missed.

As for me I am already working on my next cruise (shocker I know) and it will be yet another bucket list location I have never visited and I am stoked! I am doing two weeks back to back and one of them I paid for in full with Chase points. More on that later but for now I hope you have a great weekend no matter where you are on this amazing planet! – René
