As everyone now knows I am back from my first ever Holland America cruise (I never blog about trips until I return for, well, obvious reasons). The trip was amazing but for the second time in so many trips I have returned sick even when wearing masks along the way – I just don’t get sick folks flying and NOT masking up to protect others from their illness. But today is not about ranting is about the week that was:

Our man MJ, the legend, who loves RCI as much as I love NCL has a great post about older ships vs. the new mega ships that are coming on line. It does make you think.

Luxury cruise blogger (ok maybe my words – not his) Michael has another post in his series about his Galapagos trip that includes flying Delta 1st class to Quito (a place I have visited often – well at least the airport on mileage runs anyway).

Then there is the issue of weather and cruises. There have been some ultra nasty reports recently about cruise lines making massive, and I mean mega massive, adjustments to their itineraries due to weather. If they do you have some options to consider.

There are some stunning Princess Cruise lines Amex offers you may be targeted for that could save you huge sums of cash (or points). If you are not holding these Amex cards you really should as you are sooooo missing out on these stunning offers (that keep coming again and again)!

Lastly I think all of us, either on the way to a cruise or at home, have the opportunity to score mega points from travel and eating out along the way – Chris shows us how to maximize this yield along the way.

Have a safe travel weekend everyone (if you are traveling during this busy period) and I hope you make it safely and on time to wherever you are going! – René
