When the thermometer reads negative – there is a problem. When the wind chill is so cold skin can freeze in seconds – there is a big problem. The solution is clear but first a look back at last week:

My wife and I rarely go on cruise vacations with a big group of people so we would much rather have a table to ourselves at dinner and not have to be squeezed in with folks we do not know nor care to get to know. Can you request a private table on Holland America? Take a look.

You know what makes a cruise vacation cheaper? That is NOT having to pay for hotel rooms before you get on your ship (since we all clearly arrive a day or more before we sail at the port city). Hyatt points are a sweet way to do that and take a look at the new offer!

ThatGuy (onboard) shares just how extreme crew safety drills are and what is involved. They train hard to make sure if things do really go wrong they are there to assist us if needed. This post is an eye opener to me.

Michael as part of his review of his remarkable Galapagos cruise has a review of his visit along the way to Quito Ecuador with tons of photos of the city and his impressions.

Lastly this week MJ who has been a Frequent Floater as long as I can remember, rather than use points as I do when I book, uses the same travel agent over and over – see why it is worth it to him for the peace of mind.

Good news my wife was just approved for a new Chase Business card and we will, after spend, have enough points for another big cruise! Are you adding to your points balance yet? – Rene
