2023 was a fun cruise year for me but 2024 looks even better and I can not wait to try all kinds of new ships and itineraries (as well as some old ones too). I at last have my “land legs” back after a few weeks off my last cruise (does this happen to you too?). Oh and it was a busy week on the blog:

I began my review of my “free” Holland America cruise. It really was not free but compared to retail it was a huge discount and I am impressed with HAL I have to say.

ThatGuy onboard covers an interesting topic of who decides if you have to tender into your port or if your ship gets to dock and you simply walk off the ship as you please.

Michael has an impressive review of the JW Marriott hotel in Quito Ecuador. This stop was part of his review of his stunning Galapagos cruise on the Celebrity Flora.

Next up in my Eurodam review we have simply the fastest I have ever checked in for a cruise in my life. No lines and I almost RAN though. Count me really impressed if HAL is always like this.

Lastly there are some stunning card offers Chris covers this week to end the year. If you are not building your point balances NOW you will not be ready to jump on amazing cruise offers later and have points pay for the journey!

I hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend and is looking forward, like me, to many days at sea in 2024! – René
