In the past René has written about casino status match offers with cruise lines.  He most recently matched status with MSC (after reading his recent MSC trip review I’m not sure how glad he is to have done that one, if you haven’t checked it out yet it’s a doozy).  In many cases the matches go from a casino loyalty program to cruise status, but in this case it’s the opposite.  There’s a current status match offer to match your Celebrity Cruises status to MGM Rewards.

This matching opportunity appears to be really straightforward.  Celebrity Cruises recently emailed members of their Captain’s Club offering a current promotion to save on a room rate at certain MGM Rewards hotels in Las Vegas as well as a food and beverage credit.  Here are the details:

After the current Las Vegas stay offer they included information on the status match to have your Celebrity Status matched in the MGM Rewards program.  Here are the details:

Disclosure – I only hold entry level status in both programs, so I’m not likely to get any benefit out of this offer; however, for some of you there might be real benefits in matching programs.  On the MGM Rewards site they also have Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean as Preferred Partners.  Here’s what they say about their partnership with Celebrity Cruises:
