For those Frequent Floaters who are looking to save a little money on a Celebrity Cruise, American Express recently rolled out a new Celebrity Cruises credit card offer: spend $500 or more, get $100 back.

(Terms apply to American Express benefits and offers. Enrollment may be required for select American Express benefits and offers. Visit americanexpress.com to learn more.)

Unlike recent cruise deals offered by American Express, like this recent one for Cunard, this one appears to be strictly a cash back offer and does not involve bonus Membership Rewards® points.

This offer is good through September 17, 2024.  It’s worth noting that we haven’t seen an offer like this for Celebrity Cruises in the past year.

I received the offer on my American Express® Gold Card, but I imagine this is also offered on other American Express cards.  For those with multiple cards in your household targeted by this offer, you may want to split payments on these pricey cruises to maximize your points as this offer is limited to one use per card member. The offer is good through September 17, 2024, meaning your reservation must be processed and card charged by this date.  Points will be awarded based on the charge by the date, not the total cost of the future cruise.

All information about the American Express® Gold Card was independently gathered by Frequent Floaters. It was neither provided nor has it been reviewed by the card issuer. .

Celebrity Cruises Amex Offer Conditions

The offer looks like it applies to qualifying reservations made through one of the following methods:

  • Booking on the US website – celebritycruises.com
  • Calling Celebrity Cruises Customer Service at 1-844-530-3783
  • Booking through your preferred travel advisor AND where Celebrity Cruises is the merchant of record

Following our Galapagos cruise on Celebrity Flora we’re anxious to try a cruise on one of her big sisters so we’ve registered and are currently looking.

We enjoyed watching Celebrity Solstice sail into the Port of Vancouver before our recent Alaska Cruise and were intrigued.

Below is the fine print.  The terms appear to be fairly generous without a lot of exclusions; however, it’s worth noting that they’ve specifically excluded serval themed cruises.

It pays to keep an eye out for these AmEx offers from your favorite cruise lines or maybe an opportunity to try a cruise line or ship.  Hopefully some of our readers can take advantage of this new Celebrity Cruises credit card offer! – Michael
