Well I just spent another $599 on my “free” Holland America Cruise for later this year but I am beyond thrilled with the spend and may just be becoming a HUGE HAL fan. I will share more about this upgrade soon here on the blog but for now let’s look back at the first week of June!

I don’t know about you but I have just about spent up all of my hotel points and soooooo need to bulk up again. Chris has a great review of a simply massive (up to 200,000 points) Marriott card offers!

It will not happen to me – right? Our man onboard “ThatGuy” shares the most common injuries guests suffer that he has seen after decades at sea. This post may save you from messing up your dream vacation.

In another post about my grand Alaska cruise vacation I share how I flew Delta first class on the cheap. I always try to book award tickets for my cruises and I will show you why this is such a smart idea.

Would you believe I bring one piece of luggage with a 3″ mattress on all my sailings? No, really I do? Am I crazy? How do I do this? Take a look how it works.

Lastly a dear friend had his recent dream Alaska cruise destroyed by a huge COVID-19 outbreak onboard. The cruise line denies it ever happened and said nothing about the outbreak to other passengers. See what happened here.

I hope everyone is having a great summer so far and dreaming about upcoming sailings. I am now down to 3 booked future cruises and starting to think about returning to Alaska next summer as it was just so much fun I want to see more! – René
