My wife and I spent the week applying for new travel cards and I will be sure to blog about that this coming week. Also we have a new Frequent Floater author coming onboard and I am excited to introduce you to him soon. But first the week that was.

Do you only book shore excursions with your cruise line? Is this wise to “always” do or are the savings and options better if you book on your own. Take a look.

Every dollar matters when it comes to making your cruise cheaper. I mean if you can have others give you money why not right? Here is one way to do just that.

There are still some impressive card deals that can get you many hotel free nights. After all those of us who are smart get to the cruise port at least a day early.

I also posted about a sweet Oceania Delta Skymiles auction deal. That is now over but just how low did the bids go and what kind of value did they get? Hint: nearly 3 cents per point!

Lastly our man onboard shares what happens to crew when a ship goes into dry dock. It is remarkable to see some of the photos of just what they do to your ship in a short period of time.

For me I am looking forward to fall now. Those who are long time readers of EyeOfTheFlyer know that I make my own wine from Michigan grapes and I am looking forward to that fun hobby that is soon on the way! Have a great weekend everyone. – René
