Today we embark on a fun adventure into the sea. Just like that cruise you booked, the waiting has taken what seems forever. This site has truly been long overdue, that is, to have a cruise-focused travel blog represented here at Boarding Area.

Who are we?

We are a team of, you guessed it, Frequent Floaters who have spent countless nights at sea and are either A) On a cruise right now, B) Booking a cruise right now or C) Looking for the next cruise we can book. You can look forward to a variety of perspectives across the cruise space with authors who love every aspect of life at sea and all the planning that goes into that perfect cruise vacation.

What is the point of FF?

The one thing all of our authors have in common, including our mostly land loving writer Chris, is that we want to have the best travel experience but do so as reasonably as possible. Like a contortionist performing in the main theater on our ship, we bend – twist – and astound in the way we can use points to greatly discount our air, land, transfer and even the cruise itself. We look forward to showing you those same tips and methods we use to enhance our travels.

Who is this blog for?

Maybe you are new to cruise life. Or perhaps you have been loyal to one line and want to know what to expect on another. Maybe you want to find a better way to make all the bits before and after you get onboard a little bit better – we are here to help you with this and more. Even if you are an experienced cruiser, this can be THE BLOG for you to pick up some new ideas and share your years of experience with other readers as well.

What about ship reviews?

You bet. We plan to cover what makes each ship special and our impressions sailing on it. Clearly cabin reviews are always fun to share and getting reader input as well who have sailed on the same ship. Beyond this, we hope to share trip comparisons in what packages are offered and how they compare across one cruise line to the next. It should be both fun and a great exchange of information.

Where else can we follow Frequent Floaters?

We are live on most of the major social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and a page on Flipboard you can follow. Thanks in advance for liking, following and subscribing to our once a day e-mail blast from the blog! <-LINK

I have to tell you I am so excited to be working with some of the most outstanding authors who really know cruising and to share their insight. We hope you benefit from this blog and know that since we are new we will be tinkering over the next few weeks with the blog layout to find the perfect fit and finish!

Thank you so much for reading. I look forward to seeing you one day at sea! – René
