Well I have a problem I am trying to fix. You see I have crossed Diamond status with NCL and so has my wife. So we both have cabin upgrade certs to use but have to use them inside a year or they go away. But I already have so many cruises booked I am not sure if I can book yet another one – yes I know first world problems that are good to have right? Now on to the week that was.

Flying a helicopter over a massive moving ship is scary on a sunny day but on a day where it is raining cats and dogs and the winds are all over the place things can go very very wrong and almost did. If you have not seen this video you have to check it out – amazing.

If you are an NCL cruiser you simply MUST hold some kind of American Express card because you are likely to be targeted with sweet offers like this one that can result in a saving of at least 25% off a payment of $1,000 (and that is simple to do with refundable onboard credits btw)!

I am a total geek when it comes to cruise ships. They are simply marvels of engineering brilliance. Have you ever seen one build from the ground up? This video is a must see and it is fascinating to see the scale of what is accomplished.

We all know booking a cruise, and paying for the cruise, does not end onboard. You have to choose if you are willing to pay for extra things like time in the private Vibe beach club vs. public space. Is it worth it? Take a look.

Lastly Chris shares a sweet offer for Delta Air Lines gift cards. I always use these in combination with my American Express Business card to trigger the yearly credits I get from the card.

Circling around to my opening, I guess I am going to spend my weekend looking for maybe a fall cruise up the east coast? I have only done that once and it was so much fun and that was in a obstructed port-hole cabin. Now I can book that and upgrade free. Hum…. – René
