Man, am I happy I am NOT sailing out of Florida on a cruise this week — the weather looks just horrendous for this time of the year (I will be touching on this in the week ahead). Did you miss any posts on the blog this week? If you did, you still have time for some deals – take a look:

First up Michael has a great review of his prep work for stuff to buy for this upcoming Galapagos cruise. Really many of the items are smart for any cruise so take a peak.

Next up our man onboard, who had the better part of two decades at sea, shares with us his thoughts on crew either staying with one line for their carrier at sea or jumping ship from line to line. Truly a fascinating insight from someone who knows.

Believe it or not, Delta SkyMiles Auctions, in all its wisdom, has changed the end date for a few cruises as the award price for them is so RIDICULOUSLY low that my guess is they did not want to let them go this cheap. Oh, and there are a few new ones that have popped up that look amazing.

There is so much controversy over the new upcoming ETISA for European travel. Our man Michael has the updates we need to know.

Lastly, those of us smart enough to have a number of Amex cards (you have them, right?) may be targeted for some sweet year-end deals. I myself am jumping on a number of offers!

Have a safe weekend everyone and if you are indeed trying to sail out of Florida this weekend – I hope you bring a good umbrella and a lot of patience as you will need it! – Rene
